Keep an extra images folder somewhere

What/how do I have to set up to keep a set of current images in an images
folder to use when I have to repair pages? (that will be accessible to the
insert picture routine)
I know that Windows has its own agenda about files inside a folder
(sometimes they disappear), but I have to do a job like this, and want to
have access to those images in a web re-make.

I'm thinking if an images folder were somewhere handy, I could import the
images I need into the new website's images folder as I need them.

Files inside a folder disappear? Been using Windows for a zillion years and
have never had a file "disappear"...oh sure I'd drop one in an unknown
folder by accident a few times.

Just create a folder somewhere easy to find..like maybe on your
desktop...and store you "to be used" images there.

How often do you have to "repair" pages? Are you importing your images into
Frontpage first?
BTW, you can Browse to any folder even another website folder on your
machine to import images into a new website.

I see right away I didn't ask the question right. First of all, one cannot
create a folder outside the web and then "select all" inside the web and
copy them to the new folder. Also, cannot select one jpg at a time and drag
them out to the new folder. - Well you can, but then they become Internet
shortcuts, not .jpgs. And I know as soon as I shut my computer they will
disappear anyway, because that's how I have my IE set up.

I just figured it out.
Instead of doing it inside FrontPage, I go to My Documents\My
Webs\myownsite\images.
Then they are regular jpg files. Select them all; edit, Copy - then paste
into outside folder.
Also, never thought to go over to another web and steal pictures. Thanks for
that.

Rob meant another web that you have on your machine, etc.

Yes, Thomas. I did catch that. Just never had thought of that little
trick - like in my backups.
