Keep ASP alive?

Can you keep a script generated asp page with generated hyperlinks alive
once a hyperlink is clicked on to go to a htm page ?

Thanks,

The ASP session is alive for 20 minutes by default, so if you go to an html page the session is
suspended, but will still be active if the user returns to a ASP page within the same session within
the 20 minutes of the last time they accessed a ASP page.

Thomas, thanks for the response. The problem I have is when you click the
browser back button it goes to back to the asp page but IE says it cannot
display it (plus the usual garbage).

I am not sure there is a solution to that specific issue. In general, you should make all of the
page in your site should be .asp, so that you don't loose session state.

Thomas:

You said the default of asp pages is 20 minutes. Is this controlled by the
Server ?

Thanks,

Yes it's an IIS setting
But you can change it
See http://www.devguru.com/Technologies/asp/quickref/session_timeout.html
