Keep data from previous record in a form

I'm working on a job costing database. When entering time in a form, the Date and Employee Name are often the same for mulitple records. Of course, each time I want to create a new record, the date and Employee Name refresh to blank fields. I'd like for Access to NOT refresh those fields in a new record, to keep those values until I choose a different one.

I'm an amateur and I don't code, but I haven't had trouble otherwise just letting Access do all the work... and it seems like such a simple thing
