Keep Date Components Together

P

Penelope

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I want to keep dates, like 'March 13' together at the end of a line, rather than having March on one line and 13 on the next. I used to know a keyboard shortcut to link the two together, but have forgotten.

Can anybody help me?

You need a "non-breaking space" character.

If you cannot get it using ctrl-shift-space (this pops up a Mac
"trackpad handwriting" dialog box here) try Word Insert->Symbol->Special
characters and
a. insert it from there and/or
b. select the symbol and use the Keyboard shortcut... button to assign
a different shortcut to it
