Keep duration, redistribute remaing work after actual work reporte

How do I...

Objective is to have the remaining work increase/decrease based on actual
work reported without impacting the task duration.

Example:

5 day task
Resource assigned with work of 40 hours

On day 1 report 0 actual work
Would like the 40 hours of work to be distributed across the remaining 4 days

On day 2 report 16 hours actual work
Would like the 24 hours of remaining work to be distributed across the
remaining 3 days

Hi,

Set the Task Type to Fixed duration. As you update Actual work in a usage
view, the remaining work gets recalculated and the duration stays the same.

Window, Split or look at the advanced tab in the Task information dialog to
edit task type.
