I upgraded from Office 2000 Pro to Office 2003 (student). To my surprise in
Picture Manager it is no longer possible to make a GIF transparent. The old
office 2000 program was very simple, but it worked to my satisfaction indeed.
According to the Help text in the new PM, I need to buy Photo Editor Pro or
similar (or go for a search to find a free program that does the job the old
PM did until recently).
