Keep getting windows installer

Hello

I think I have some kind of registry problem. Everytime I try to open word,
outlook, powerpoint or visual studio.net, I get the windows installer saying
"Preparing to install" and with frontpage when this happens I endup getting
an error and no frontpage.

This happens a lot when I install some new programs. I have removed office
and reinstalled and still the same problem. How can I fix this?
