I've just switched from Word 97 to Word 2003.

In word 97, when I clicked the Window>New button, the new window would
open within the boundries of the main Word window.

But now, when I click the Window>New button, the new window just floats
freely around my desktop.

How can I tell Word that I want it to keep all of its windows in one
basket?

This has come up before. You can check the archives but I think the
answer is your can't.
