Keep pen straight

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the pen draw straight no matter
what? It would also be helpful when highlighting. It keeps everything more
neat.

No, unless you're on a Tablet PC and can use a small ruler. If you're
running Word, you could create a line and then copy/paste.
