keep red font when exporting grid to excel, etc.

I have two questions regarding the Updates menu and the screen “View task
changes submitted by resourcesâ€.

1. In this view, I’d like to be able to sort by “task id†but can’t find
where I can add this column. I've gone to manage views and opened all the
views available but non seem to correspond with what I want to do.
2. When I export the grid to excel, I’d like to keep the
formatting..specifically, the red font that highlights the changes made. Is
there a way to keep this formatting when exporting?

Thanks in advance

1. You would need to add the ID field for tasks to each enterprise project
and to the Timesheet view. You will also need to republish the assignments
in every project to "push" the task ID field info to each user's timesheet
in PWA. Refer to the following FAQ for the steps to do these things:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/changetimesheet.htm

2. I know of no way to keep the formatting when you export to Excel.
Sorry.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale.

I've already done this and the task ID does show up in the user's timesheet
in PWA. My problem is that I don't see it when I'm in the Update menu. As
the Project Administrator, I live in the update menu. I find that when dates
change, they get out of task order. I'd like to put them back in task order
based on the task ID so it makes it easier to read the excel spreadsheet that
I've exported to.

Thanks,

I should have told you that if you scroll all the way to the right in the
updates grid on the Updates page in PWA, you will see the ID column that you
want to use. This is a consequence of adding the ID field to the list of
Published fields in each project. You can move the ID column into place
during the current session of processing updates, but after the grid is
cleared, the next time you view updates you will have to move the column
back into place. Hope this helps.
