Keep Word 03; Upgrade to Office Standard 07

Thank you for reviewing this post. I am going to be upgrading to Office
Standard 2007, and I want to have available to me the Word upgrade as well.
However, I HAVE to keep the Word 03 on and useable because I am en editor for
a textbook on USING Word 03, so I need to edit and write with it for that
case only.

I am also upgrading to Vista Home Premium before I start this upgade. Or
can I, should I, do Office first?

How do I go about this Office upgrade?

Thank you so much for your help-I will be doing this Wednesday night.

Hi Don,

Generally, installing Office after your Windows version is stable would be the better practice.

When installing the Office 2007 product choose the custom installation choice to be able to select which older applications that are
present in the new version are to be deleted or retained.

Note that when using both Word 2007 and Word 2003 in the same boot partition you will be seeing the 'preparing to
install/configuring' dialog when you switch between versions of Word as Windows retwizzles the pointers and registry settings to use
the set that matches the version of Word you call upon.
