Hi, I'm sure this is a simple question, but when I resize a column in an excel spreadsheet to see all the data, when I close the document and reopen it the columns are back to their original position. How can I save the document and have the columns stay at the adjusted width?

Thanks

The columns should indeed stay at their adjusted width. By any chance is
(was) this a text file? If so, are you sure you are saving it as an Excel
workbook?

Thanks Bob, You were right spot on correct. It was a text file that I was saving as a text file. When I saved as an Excel workbook file, columns were saved correctly.

Thanks again,
Peter
