Can I use my current MS Office software on my new computer so I do not
have
to purchase it again? ( I still have the original inistallation discs).
Look at the installation key label that the installation discs were enclosed
with. It will be orange in color. In the lower right corner will be three
letters. If FPP you can install onto your new computer, uninstalling on a
previous computer if it would violate the EULA which located somewhere is on
the disc or disc container. If Home & Student or Student & Teacher (2007 or
2003) it can be installed onto 3 computers concurrently but can't be used
for commercial purposes. XP Student & Teacher is more restrictive (1
computer.) If any other version (with FPP) it can be installed onto one
computer (device) and a portable device for exclusive use of the primary
user of the first device.
If OEM or MLK, the EULA (license agreement) says you can not move the office
program to another computer and it is tied to the first computer it was
installed onto.
The above is my paraphrasing of the various Microsoft web site information
and EULAs.
Hope this information answers your question.
