Keeping latest date field value of duplicates; archiving the rest

Hi...

I have run the duplicate record wizard which has produced a query result
that shows duplicate records in terms of 2 fields: employee names and tasks
assigned. There are about 4 other fields in each record (different date
fields such as date due , date complete etc) I want to keep the most recent
"date due" record of the duplicate set(s) while archiving to a new table
(perhaps with a make table query) those duplicate records with earlier dates.
Any suggestions, hints, ideas much appreciated!!
