Look in Tools | Options | Other tab.

Hi Dave,
On the Tools menu, click Options.
In the left pane, click General.
Under Sign In, clear the Automatically run Messenger when I log on to
Windows check box and Allow Automatically sign in when connected to the
internet checkbox.
Click OK.
