Keeping new mail on Exchange server, not local drive

A colleague is now running into an issue with her Entourage 2007 on a G5 Mac
desktop system (OS 10.4.10). She works from home and the office and prefers
to leave her mail on the Exchange server, only moving mail to her local
drive when she needs to clear space on the server. However, her mail is now
automatically moving off the Exchange server into her local hard drive on
her office system, preventing her from accessing that mail from home. Where
will we find a preference that stops that from happening?

Thanks in advance.

Oops...meant Entourage 2004. Just a little numerical slip when I typed up my
inquiry.

Prior to posting, I checked her rules but she never had any set up to start
with, apparently, nor was anything set in the mailing list manager.

Ouch... that's really really unusual then.
So far, Rules and MLM have been the source of the problem 100% of the
time.

The Junk E-mail filter, Rules and Mailing List Manager are the only
three means of automatically moving messages in Entourage. The only
other means of moving messages is doing so manually.

I'd suggest that if rules are "ruled out" then the Entourage database
may be corrupt and needs repairing, rebuilding or replacing.
