I come to the end of the line and I am typing Dr. Smith
and the Smith goes to the next line. How do I keep Dr.
Smith together?

Nonbreaking space: Ctrl+Shift+space. Or you can find it
via Insert/Symbol/Special Characters.

Hi, Debbie. Use a nonbreaking space (Ctrl+Shift+Spacebar) between Dr. and Smith.

Thanks. I knew there was a way I did it before.

Do a Ctrl-Shift-Space between Dr. and Smith. This also
works with a hyphenated word, just use Ctrl-Shift-Hyphen.
