Keeping to ms office 97 pro

i have used office 97 since it was new and am using XP
i now have a second laptop with XP which came with office 2007
i have masses of excel and word stuff and have the office 97 installation disc
i want to load the 97 program onto the laptop which has the 2007 program preloaded

what should i do to make the 2007 doesnt load so i can use the 97 to continue my work
