keeps opening files by itself

hi - why does excel 2000 keeps opening files on launching
of programme.. the files are not even excel documents..
please help it is driving me nuuuttttssss..

Hi Nick,

Once you have Excel open, choose Tools/Options/General from the menu and
remove any entry from the Alternate startup file location textbox. Restart
Excel and the problem should be gone.
