I have been configuring a new computer which came with Office XP (OS = XP
Pro).
On my laptop (OS XP PRO) I was never able to get Outlook XP to see the
Sub-contact Folders which reside under the Main Contact Folder. Ken Slovak
assisted previously by stating to install Outlook XP over Outlook 2000 once
you have 2000 working with WinFAX 10.02. I never had the time to attempt
this on my laptop, but I am trying on this on the new computer but no luck.
The Steps:
1) Uninstall Outlook 2002 (I left the rest of OFFICE XP in tact)
2) Install Outlook 2000 (Corporate Work Group ) Default Email Client
3) Install WinFax 10.02
4) Add Outlook Address Book Service
5)Check "Show this Folder as an e-mail Address Book" all Folders
6) Synchronize WinFax 10.02 for Outlook 2000
6) Edit MAPIMSVC.INF to add Logs and WinFax as a Service
After all that, I cannot get WinFax to see Outlook 2K Sub-contact folders
(It only sees the Primary Contact Folder). I know this can work because I
have a smaller Drive for my Laptop (Running Windows ME) that uses Office
2000 and WinFax 10.02, and all of my contact sub-folders are visible in
WinFax Phonebook.
Do I need to completely uninstall OFFICE 2002 and then install Outlook 2000
following with WinFax?
I have reviewed all Slipstick information as well using the link below:
http://www.slipstick.com/exchange/winfax9.htm
I don't want to go through an uninstall everything just to achieve the same
results. But apparently just uninstalling Outlook 2002 doesn't work. Any
help would be appreciated!
