Kernel32 Problem

Hi,

I am a new user of MS Access. I experienced a problem while attempting to use the Wizard for the creation of a new database, after selecting, for example, ‘Contact Management’. This occurs after I opened Access while prompted with the initial popup window. I am always prompted with the same error message saying that “Msaccess caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL. Msaccess will be closed now”.

My computer is configured with Office 2K-SR1 and Win ME.

Any thoughts ?

A good first step in resolving the problem would be to install updates to Office (there are three).

Hi,

I tried to upgrade the office but somehow it can't be done. I am using Office2K Professional + IE6. From one hand I can't find any indication that SR-1 is installed but from the other end, each time I am trying to upgrade it I am getting a message that SR-1 is already installed. When I'm trying higher SP version I am prompted with a message that "Microsoft Office 2000 Professional is not at the SR-1 level". How should I proceed with the upgrade ??
