Key chain items

Dr. Frank Stefanec

Hi,
I installed MSN Messenger 4.01. I had 3.5 on. When it had installed, it
asked if I wanted it to have access to my keychain items??? What in the
heck does that mean?? Then I received a message about some msn daemon
wanting access which I denied?? I¹m a bit lost with this. Any help will
be appreciated.

Thanks.

There is a login and password that MSN Messenger uses to connect. If you
chose to save the login and password, the application places them in the
keychain for future use. For security purposes, every time the System
see that you are attempting to retreive this data through a differnet
version of the application (eg: after an upgrade), you get a warning
asking you to confirm that the new version is allowed to retreivve the
login and password.... Nothing to really worry about.
