key code error on new copy

I just bought ON 2007 new from amazon. when i type in the key code i get an
error saying that 0 (zero) and O (letter O) are not valid key code numbers.
but my key code starts with 6000100712-. Every othe number on my label has
an O or 0 in it. How do I get this )(#$)#* thing to work? Signed,

The number you are using looks like a part number not the Product Key. As
you purchases OneNote 2007 from Amazon.com, you should have received it in a
plastic case. When you open the case, look on the side of the section that
opens opposite the CDs. You should have a orange label with the 25 character
Product Key.
