I purchased MS Office Pro 2003 with the OneNote Demo disk included from
AtomicPark.com. I decided to buy the full version of OneNote after
examining it for a day or two. Have received it from AtomicPark.com I
thought I would go back there to purchase it for $173.00 with the site
advertisement that there was a $100 rebate. I printed out the rebate form
from the site. Received the OneNote disk in a plastic bag and a form
explaining I would have to log on to MS with so and so directions. I did
that and got my disk key and it installed satisfactorily.
I sent in the rebate to MS and it was rejected, actually twice sending it in
registered and return signature (more $). A longer story here associated
with MS. today I got a phone call of a final refusal from MS because
AtomicPark.com is evidently buying business packages and in my case, MS said
AtomicPark.com had been credited with the $100 rebate.
Nothing was stated or listed by AtomicPark.com that these were commercial
packages.
I had bought two packages of software from them in succession and I had the
same thing happen when I sent in for my rebate for it also.
Most of you may be aware this can happen and know how to avoid it but this
was a first time for me and quite costly. Be careful if you are buying
OneNote on the premise you are going to get a $100 rebate and get the same
thing pulled on you.
