Key shortcuts, e.g. for Thesaurus

Could you add a feature like a Shift+F7 for Thesaurus in Word? Now it's impossible to assign a keyboard shortcut to any menu command. When I need a thesaurus or dictionary, I have to use Look Up... in context menu or Research... in Tools menu. The assigned key shortcut instead of using mouse will be more convenient

I understand that implementing the user-defined shortcuts for all menu commands is more difficult than adding one hard combination in menu code, but I saw in this forum that customization is considering. Maybe my thought will be another penny...

Actually you can already use ALT+R to get the Research task pane (which
Thesaurus is on) popped up. Just right-click a menu and choose Customize,
then find the Research icon on the toolbar, right-click that and change
the display option from "Default" to something that shows the text. As
long as it appears on your toolbar, ALT+R will initiate the Look Up for
you.

I didn't know the text had to be displayed in the toolbar for the hotkeys
to work. Is this true in all Office apps?

I can't say for sure that it does, but in my limited testing it only worked
with the text was displayed. I haven't tried it in other apps yet, if
I get a chance I'll test that
