key word tags

[polishmywheels]

When I built my site www.polishmywheels.com I used the meta tag option and
used key words that pertained to my site. If I do a search for some of those
same words my site will not appear in the results. Recentley I went through
all of the pages and wnet to the page properties. There is an option there
to enter keywords. By placing the words there will my site appear somewhere
in the search results after someone types in one othe keywords?????

ignore them
and possibly ignore the whole page.

Also most search engines totally ignore keywords anyway.

The best thing to do is use meaningful page titles and meaningful correctly spelled text in the page.

I haven't used keywords in years.

First of all people who do not use keywords have money to waste, First of
all; Use Keywords in your meta tag descriptions, keywords and phrases, title,
but most importantly use your keywords in the body of your web page "alot"
but remember if you use keywords in your Meta tag more than 3 times it is
considered spam. But to get your ranking up submit a Map of all the links to
your site and from your site to the engine you subscribe to. A small piece of
advice set up a google account and use all their tools. They have a wide
arrangement of tools that teach you how to increase your rank, even without
paying anything you can watch it happen!
After you follow all the instructions they give you, you'll be surprized.
When I first set up my account, I followed some of their instructions and set
up a test run of three days and set the budget to $10 a day with a limit of
$300 a month and received 800,000+ visitors in 3 days. Then I set my budget
to $0 daily and $0 monthly and because of the relavent keyword body content,
relavent links, meta tag keywords phrases, and keyword descriptions and
especially the relavent incomming and outgoing mapping. I still received over
300,000 visits. You'll see, the tools Google gives you for free just for
setting up an account are awesome, especially the webmaster tools!

So, how do you explain that search engines tell you that they do not use
meta keywords? Note that I am ONLY talking about the <meta> keywords. I'm
not talking about using keywords in the important places, like page title,
content, links, alt attributes, etc.

If you have nothing left to do on your page, then sure, if it helps you feel
better, stick in a meta keywords tag. But until then, focus on the things
that actually help you.

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is made up of many different parts, some
(not mainstream) search engines still use keywords ... it doesn't hurt to
include them but don't worry about them...

There is a lot about your site you could improve seo wise.. the main one
being inserting text.

Your best learning more about seo before you go any further it will help
with your site design too.

Honestly, keywords have little to do with search engine placement in today's
search engines. Now I'm not saying don't use them but the are not weighted
as high as the use to be.

Look up "Search Engine Optimization" on Google or one of the Web Master
sites for detailed information.

attention then the page title and page content but the thing that brings your
ranking up is if the links you have in your page lead to more of the same
keyword content unless you can write a very long page using all of your
keywords numerous times but like I said the robots/crawlers/spiders/etc..
look for the keyword meta tag and the description meta tag first then content
otherwise you can leave keywords completely out of it and use campaigns with
keywords this is a good bet too because if you use campaigns your meta tags
do not mean anything then it only depends on content of the page and the page
title and description

Sorry - this is not only a very poor sentence, it's also completely
mistaken. The verification has nothing to do with keywords.

And keywords in a META KEYWORD tag have no significant impact on your page
ranking, which is what the original question was about.

No they are not, but they are still used as a factor in the placement. What
is the best advice I could give anyone is to let the title and description be
the place where you start the sentence and your content finish it and your
keywords in the meta tag be a place where you condense description, title,
and content. The best place I can give you for practicing this is set-up a
Google adwords, adsense, blog, webmaster, accounts basically all you have to
do is start a google account and go to My Account to set up or play around.
You do not have to pay for an advertising campaign to reap the rewards of the
tools and the reporting tools, you can use these reports to refine your
pages, and also use the optimizing tools. The Keyword puts the robots and
spiders in the right ballpark then title, description, and content do the
rest. the best move anyone can make is to have at least one page that you
advertise on that people can comment to topics or start their own topic
because they can get your placement in the top 5. Test that and see if I'm
not right you'll find Forums, Blogs, and respondable pages ahead of any other
unpaid pages on hundreds of topics.
