keyboard and language

Ulrich Scholz

Dear all,

I'm using Windows XP Version 2002 / Powerpoint 2003 with SP2

My laptop has a German keyboard but I'm used to write English and so
it has English stickers on it. I just change to the German key layout
to write, e.g., some funny ö's.

Now my problem: My language setting changes if I change the keyboard
layout. That's annoying.

A related wish: How can I change the language setting for all text in
a presentation? How can I select (highlite) all text in a presentation
(on all slides)?

Thanks,

Ulrich

Ulrich,
Have a look here as to the changing of the language setting:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;245468&Product=ppt
To select all of the text it sort off depends on how you inserted your text,
is it in placeholders or have you created your own textboxes, if the former,
you can select all of the text using the outline tab on the left of your
screen. There are two tabs one for the slide thumbnails and one for the
outline. If you click in the window and then press Ctrl+A all text (in
placeholders) will be selected.
