Keyboard assignment stops responding

I've recorded a macro to insert the current date into a Word document. I
then assigned it to a Function key and all worked fine for a while but then
it stopped responding. I've tried re-assigning it and all appears to be
correct, until I come to test it, and it still doesn't work! The macro
itself, if run from the drop down menus works. Anyone know what hidden
setting seems to have changed?

If you import a module (eg, using the Payne Office VBA cleaner) you
will destroy your keybindings (shortcuts collection).
