keyboard command to activate other pane in Word 2008?

I want a keyboard command that will let me move the cursor back and
forth between the main text and the note pane, while keeping them both
open. In Word 2004 I could move between the main window and the
comment pane with a one-line macro:
ActiveWindow.ActivePane.Next.Activate. Obviously that won't work
now...is there a way to do this, either within Word or through an
AppleScript? (I could bind a script to a hotkey with Butler; I've
already rebuilt a couple other old macros this way.) Advice gratefully
appreciated!

I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to by the terms "note pane" &
"comment pane". You seem to be using the 2 terms interchangeably but Word
has nothing by either name. Do you mean the Reviewing Pane? If so, Word's
built-in toggle between it & the document text is F6 as well as Shift+F6
(although you may have to reclaim the F6 key from OS X in System Preferences
or assign a keystroke of your own to the OtherPane command.

I'm not using them synonymously; I meant that I used to use that macro
to move between the main text and the reviewing pane (back in Word X
when it displayed just comments, so that's what I've always thought of
it as), and now I want to use it or something similar to move between
the main text and the pane that displays notes. And the OtherPane
command is exactly what I was looking for and never know Word had. (I
had looked under Tools-Customize Keyboard-All Commands and under Tools-
Macros, but I was looking at macros/commands that began with GoTo or
Activate or View, and never thought to look under Other.) Thank you!

Glad to help ‹ ironic, isn't it, that the very command you wanted is named
exactly as you referred to it in the Subject of your post... Just without a
space :)
