Keyboard error

We are using WindowsXP and Office 2003
The boss has been preparing an outline. I set up the outline the way he
wanted it and saved it to our network. On my computer when I type <enter>
<shift+tab> the outline goes back one level -- just as it should. On the
boss' computer, <shift+tab> simply tabs forward. The shift key will,
however, create an uppercase letter when pressed, so it appears to be
working. Is there something that would cause <shift+tab> to not work?

In Word, click on Tools | Autocorrect Options | Autoformat As You Type |
check the "Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces" box | OK.

Thanks so much! That's just what we needed. I never thought to check
there -- it seemed to me my computers had always done it. Hmpf. Just when
I think something is the default I get my comeuppance.
