Keyboard keys stop working

Suddenly some of my keyboard keys stop working.
The keys can for example be "t" "v", it's not all keys
that stop working. Is this an error in my setup? Which is
a Windows XP (SP1) with Office 2003, all english
versions, running on a IBM A31p.

When I restart my Outlook, it works again.

The error has occured once in Word 2003 as well!

Could anyone please help me?

Regards,

Regards,

Maybe you hit the Alt key and Outlook is trying to run through the
shortcuts in the menus (which may or may not have the key used as a
shortcut that you are hitting). Try hitting Alt again.

Thanks, but this I have already tried. It didn't work.

Have you ran a FULL scan using a recently updated anti-virus program?
Have you checked for spyware (using Ad-Aware and SpyBot) to make sure
some keylogger isn't interferring?

Have you tried using msconfig.exe (borrowed from Windows XP if you are
using Windows 2000), Mike Lin's Startup applet, or AnalogX's AutoRuns to
show what gets loaded on startup and disabled them for a clean startup
(i.e., not a Safe mode boot, but a normal but clean boot)?

Have you checked for any add-ins installed into Outlook
(tools->options->other->advanced) and tried disabling them? What
happens when you load Outlook in safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe")?
