Keyboard misbehaves using Excel

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

After migrating Office:Mac 2004 to my new Mac mini, Excel has behaved strangely when inputting data into a new cell or changing an existing cell. The keyboard seems to stop working and I can't enter any data or press "enter". I have to move the cursor to another cell and click on it to clear this condition. Unfortunately, it is not consistent and I can't re-create it every time. Most annoying.

No other Office applications seem to be misbehaving. There were some older posts on similar problems but there didn't appear to be any resolution. Has anyone else had this problem? Can it be related to the fact that the Version of Office (version 11.5.5) was originally purchased for a G4 machine and I'm now running it on the Intel platform?

Hi Cloud3

Did you ever resolve this? I've now got this problem in Excel 2004 when Intel iMacs were upgraded from Tiger to Leopard.

I don't know if Cloud3 can see you, but the rest of us can't.

That message has dropped off the system: please re-post the whole story so
we know what you need and we may be able to help.

Cheers
