Keyboard shortcut equivalent Ctrl-Delete on a PC

In Entourage, how can you replicate the Windows keyboard shortcut to
delete an entire word to the right of the cursor, i.e., Ctrl-Delete in
Windows. I know that Option-Delete will delete an entire word to the
left, but what about the other direction? Fn-Delete just does one
character at a time.

Thanks for any help!

I guess you're using a laptop.

There is no Delete key on Mac laptop (not my MacPro anyway) so I presume you
mean Fn+Backspace, which is equivalent to Delete.

Anyway, hold Option and Shift then press Right arrow and then delete or
backspace. It's quicker than it sounds.

Although Option-Delete (i.e. Backspace on a PC) and Option-Fwd Delete work
in the rest of the Office suite (deleting one word to the left/right of the
insertion point), those keyboard shortcuts have never worked for me in
Entourage (regardless of the Preference setting for "Use Microsoft Office
keyboard shortcuts"). I reported quite some time ago it as an Entourage
bug. These are standard Mac OS shortcuts that should work in any Mac
application that edits text.

My workaround in Entourage has been to use Shift-Delete and Shift-Fwd Delete
to _select_ the word to the left/right, and then hit either Delete key to
delete the selected text.

As another poster pointed out, if you're using a Mac laptop, the Forward
Delete is fn-Delete.
