Keyboard Shortcuts not working

I've tried customizing my keyboard to a few Shortcuts, eg. Grow Font
(Cmd-Shift-<), Grow font one point (Cmd-9), Shrink Font (Cmd-<) and some
others, but they don't apply when I hit the keys.

Other - default - shortcuts work fine, but the ones I enter won't. With the
font in/decreasers I've tried selcting text and then typing the shortcuts
and I've tried just doing it "freely", that is at the beginning of a new
line where I want a larer/smaller font.

I'm using WordX in OS X (10.3.5)

Thanks in advance for any hints

Carsten,

Are you following these steps, among the others, when you make the keyboard
shortcuts? (there are two steps that are easy to overlook):

Tools menu -> Customize -> Commands tab -> click "Keyboard" button [When
assigning keystrokes in a hurry, it's easy to overlook this last step] --
then the "Customize keyboard" window opens.

At the bottom right of the "Customize keyboard" window, make sure "Save
changes in" reads "Normal". [It¹s easy to overlook this too]

If you still have a problem, download the document "Bend Word to Your Will"
from http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/WordMac/Bend/BendWord.htm and look at my
notes starting under the heading "Standard keyboard shortcuts in Word", on
pages 54-60.

Clive,

I've followed the directions below and that didn't help.

What's the difference beteween pressing the Keyboard-tab while in the
Commands-dialog and in the toolbars-dialog?

I'll try the document you refer to - on p. 56 it reads:
Increase font size By one point: Command-]
(to shrink use [) By default sizes: Command-Shift->
(to shrink use <) Regard the ] as a forward arrow

These don't apply for some reason. Maybe it's because I have a Danish
keyboard, although, I've had Cmd-Shift-> work under OS9/Word 2001

Any other ideas?

TIA for any help.
