Keyboard shortcuts

I want to assign a keyboard shortcut to a macro.
MS instructions are to point to the Tools menu, point to Macro and
then click Macros.
My problem is that I can’t find a Tools menu that offers the option
Macro, so I cannot get to click on Macros.
The tools menu on a completed Macro does have a Tools option that
includes Macros; clicking on it only brings up a list of Macros.
Windows Explorer has a Tools option, but clicking on it does not
include a Macro option.

Can anyone help?

I’m running Windows 7 and Office 10.
Thanks,

Mr. Claus,
Thank you for your reply to my problem. When I try Alt+F8 nothing
happens.
I tried it with the Windows Explorer web page, with the Macro showing,
and with the macro results showing. Please advise at what point I try
Alt+F8,
Do you know how to access the Tools menu to enable me to point to the
option Macro?

You should have Excel open when you hit Alt + F8. Windows Explorer
has nothing to do with macros and Tools for Excel macros.

Alt + F8 will bring up a dialog with a list of your macros.

Select one and hit the "Options" button at lower right.
