Keys in Outlook e-mail

Using a brand new Dell studio laptop.
While trying to type the question key I get a funny looking symbol.
Using this board I can do this.....?
However while typing normal e-mail a letter that appears like an E shows up?
Any help is getting rid of it would be appreciated.

Can you be a little bit more specific...
What version of Outlook are you using?
Are you using Word as your email editor?
Can you copy-and-paste your funny-looking symbol here; I have no idea
what "a letter that appears like an E" could be.

Have you verified your keyboard settings already and make sure only the
keyboard layouts and languages that you are using are installed?
