Keystrokes

I am trying to create keyboard shortcuts for data entry on a continuous form
in Access 2003.
When I put the & in front of a letter in the Caption of the label (in the
Form Header) I get an error telling me that the label is not associated with
the control (in the Detail section). I am not given any options to
reassociate the label with the control. Any ideas why this may be happening?

I would also like to stop the form from re-calculating everytime a user
enters new data...this is also slowing down data entry into the form.

I appreciate any feedback to help me resolve the issue.

Thank you...Wendy

To reassociate a label with a control:
1. Select the label.

2. Cut to clipboard (Ctrl+X.)

3. Selec the control you want it attached to.

4. Paste (Ctrl+V.)

Sometimes Access 2003 gets its mesages wrong re attached labels.

You cannot stop Access from recalculating calculated controls. If you want
to do it manually, you could leave those controls unbound, and assign a new
value to them when you want them updated.
