Kiosk Presentation with Request Info form

Hi,

I'm new to this group and just had no idea that there was a whole PPT
community out there! I've already gotten some great info from some old
posts here and the many helpful sites out there, thanks! Anyway on to
my issues.

I'm making a presentation in PPT 2002 to run as a kiosk at trade shows
etc. At the end of the show I have a form where the viewer can give
their info to get more info sent to them on various items. I copied
and adapted Activex Control script from Microsoft Office (thank you!)
for the form but I couldn't get it to work in the same show, so I made
a one slide show just for it and have links to it. It's like the form
won't work if there is anything else on the slide or even in the same
show. Anyway the problems are
1. Any ideas on why the form won't work with others and how to fix it?
2. Either way, I need to have the slide automatically transition to my
looped cover sheets after a certain amount of time. I don't want to
have to use a link since I wanted it to be unmanned.
3. Plus I couldn't get any links, whether text hyperlink or action
button, to work on the form page.
4. When the viewer goes to type info into the form they have to use
the mouse to get from item to item. Is there a way to let them tab
thru it?

thanks for the help,
Elizabeth

I can probably provide an example where the user clicks a button on the last
slide that opens a UserForm. They type in their info (tabbing to each
textbox), when finished they click a button that takes that info and passes
it to an Access database so you have record of that data.

Interested? What version are you using? Do you have Microsoft Access?

Ok, so it would be separate form not one of the slides using the
control buttons so you could tab? When the user is done what would
happen? Could I send them to the cover slides in a different show? I
think that would work. I'm using PPT 2002 and I have Access 2000.

I redid the page with the form fields on it and got it to work in the
same presentation as the other slides but I still have the problem of
somehow making the presentation start over. I know I can loop it if I
did it as a speaker but then I have the possibility of someone right
clicking and messing it up. Plus I wouldn't be able to loop the cover
sheets.

I loaded the Kiosk Assistant thinking it might help with my looping
problem but since I have two slides in a separate presentation that
loop as a cover slide it doesn't solve my problem. But now when I run
the show it starts over in the middle even though the assistant is set
well after the time it takes to run the show.

I wish you could repeat slides!

Thanks for all your help!
Elizabeth
