help!
when I start Word2000, I get the blue screen with "Stop:0x0000001E... and
Kmode_exception_not_handled... datestamp 3a7780c8 pwgdi.dll" error.

I run the Office cd again to I guess reinstall Office.
I downloaded latest security patches/updates.
I boot into safe mode/networking and I can open just fine.
but I still get same error when I boot normally.
when I boot using debugging mode, Word freezes at virus scan...

what should I do? help!

Hello? Utf-8?B?amNq?=

I searched for the error and didn't find anything in our knowledge base.
Assuming that the filename pwgdi.dll is correct. This looks like a video
driver file that was possibly installed by the video card manufacturer. You
might try to download and install the latest video driver for your video
card. To check this you can boot into Windows Safe Mode and then test.

Please let me know if this helps.

Pwgdi.dll suggests a Minolta printer driver. Try obtaining an updated
driver from the manufacture's web site and see if that resolves the
problem.

Additionally, if you have a network printer set as your default
printer and you encounter the error when you are not connected to the
network then the problem could be due to using a network printer
driver. Remove the printer and install it using the Add Printer Wizard
so the printer driver is installed locally.
