Label alignment within bar in chart

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I am trying to align a value label within the actual bar on a chart. The older version of Excel had an alignment feature but I am not able to locate this in Office 2008. The labels are all now floating above the actual bar and I would like them inside the end of the bar. I know they can be dragged individually but this can be clumsy and imprecise.

I have some great news for you. According to Microsoft Technical Support...it's a feature of the new Excel 2008 for the Mac.

When I say feature, I of course mean, a feature that didn't quite make it in this version.

Wonderful isn't it - you have to go and drag every label and woe betide you if you change that graph.

Tosh of the highest order.
