Hi,
When I print Standard Avery labels, in my case L7159 but I
have had the problem with other labels, from a mail merge
in Word 2002 on WIN2K, the pitch on the printed page is
NOT the pitch in the label setup. It is in fact about 3
mm short both vertically and horizontally.
I am printing to a Lexmark Optra E310.
As a result the labels "creep" up and to the left, leaving
labels cropped at the top and the left.
I am using Arial 10 point font, for address labels with
either 3 or 4 lines (but the horizontal pitch problem
makes me think that the problem is related to the way the
white space between labels is being calculated, or being
handled by the printer driver).
To put it mildly, this drives me insane.
Is it a Word problem ? a printer problem ? a personal
problem ?
My workaround is to define my own label, with larger
pitches defined. Problems with this:
There is limited room to move before the error message:
label too large for page size appears. I have enough room
to deliberately insert white space top and left of the
label BUT I want a long term solution !
TIA
