I am looking for a label printing software that will do the following when
compiling/printing labels.
The software required must be able to customise label details to a file and
read from this file when printing. If I have to reinvent the wheel, then this
is what is required -
From a dropdown supplier list, select a supplier and return the supplier code
Append a price code, and date code and quantity of labels to be printed
(which need to be typed).
If an A4 label matrix sheet is used I must be able to print to the next
available label on this sheet (this avoids wasting unused labels on a already
printed sheet).
It may be preferred to generate a label file first, to be printed. I would
like to automate this process and not copy and paste to a 1000 labels . Do I
use MS Access, Excel or Word’s mail merge
