I'm using Office v.X (version 10.1.6) and my OS is 10.3.7 on a dual
1GHz G4. Entourage holds my categorized contacts. From Word I select
the address book, select "Full name" and "Address" for the label, and
use the Query to only pick my Christmas List category. I have 47
contacts in that category. Word creates 47 pages of labels. Page one is
correct, sorted by the value in Full name. Page 2, at the bottom right
most label, has the next contact in my list. It looks like that label
was pushed into the last label cell on the page and the other labels
moved to the left (and up) to make room. Page three repeats this.
Eventually page 31 has what I expected (that is, 47 labels should take
one full page of 30 lables and a second page with the other 17). Pages
32 - 47 continue to push one label off the top left, leaving page 47
with one label on it.
One other thing - when I first tried to create the mail merge I could
only see the name, except for one label that had the address. I looked
in Entourage and all 47 contacts had addresses. The one label tyhat
showed address happened to have a value in the Company field (Company
was not one of my merge fields). I went to Entourage, put an "x" in a
Company field, reran the merge and now I had two labels with address
showing. I went back to Entourage and added an "x" to all 47 contacts
and that got me addresses for all labels. However, even before adding
the "x" I still had the same problem I describe in my first paragraph.
I have created labels with v.X before, using the same category in
Entourage and it has worked. That was before I applied updates for
10.1.2 - 10.1.5.
