labels in word 2007

When I create a file label sheet in word, and then save it, the lines go
away. I tried selecting "show grid lines" but what I get looks like graph
paper and not labels. I have also tried saving it as a template, but still
no lines when I open it. In office 03 I was able to have a blank file label
sheet which was very handy and fast when needing to set up a file. Can you
help?

There are two separate types of gridlines. The one you found is for aligning
drawing objects. The button you really want is on the Table Tools > Layout
ribbon, which appears only when the cursor is in a table. Since a label
sheet is simply a document containing a table with properly sized cells,
that shouldn't be hard to find.
