Labels

I have tried to print labels in Word 2002 using Outlook
contacts. (OS WinXP) I could swear I have done this in
the past...currently when I try to do it and follow the
mail merge wizard, I select which Outlook Contacts folder
I want a "Data Link Properties" window pops up requesting
that I either...1. Select or enter database name. or 2.
Enter information to log on to the database...and then
when I don't make a selection I receive an error. I know
I have used my outlook contacts in the past and it worked
fine.

I also tried to start the labels in Outlook and then move
to word and the same thing happens.

I finally ended up having to create a database first.
Any words of wisdom?

Why not export all your contacts into an Excel file then use that file for your mail merge?

There appears to be something amiss with Outlook - you may get more
information by posting to the Outlook newsgroup, to which end I have
crossposted this response there.

Make sure Outlook is your default mail program and that your Outlook Address
Book Service is installed and configured correctly in your Outlook profile.
List the steps you are using more precisely.
