Labor Rates

Jim

Is there any way to store salary information for resources
in the ERP and not allow PMs to see this information. The
requirement is to track resource actual labor rates but
not have this sensitive information displayed in Project
Professional 2003.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim:

There's no way to hide cost rates from Project Managers as in the formal
world of project management, PMs are generally responsible for costs and
budgets. The answer is to not use actual salaries in the application and
instead use loaded or blended rates. Actual salaries should remain in the
custody of HR and Finance.
