I also have the same Master Category List problem. Unfortunately, I don't
understand the suggestion to right click on the root of Outlook 2007 (i.e.
where do I find this root?) Please could you talk me through it?

If you right click on the root of your Outlook 2007 and select =
properties, do you see the option to upgrade to color categories at the =

I can not find the categories button that is usually at the bottom right

colors. How can I get the master category list available so that I can
categorize my contacts>

Please do not keep posting the same question over and over.

When I installed OL2007, all of my NAMED contact categories transferred
nicely and all of my contacts are sorted when viewed in category view. But
WHERE IS the master category list. I don't want to assign colors, I want
to
use names for my categories, as I did in OL2003. I think the color
categorizing feature is virtually useless!
How do I access and edit the Master Category LIST by NAME that was in
OL2003? When OL2007 categories ALL is opened, the list I created is
nowhere
to be found!
