Going into Font from Format on the toolbar, I get a Font window that
looks different from other PCs around me. A regular font window shows
3 sections under the Font tab: Font, Effects and Preview. What I am
seeing is: Latin text font, Complex scripts, All text, Effects,
Preview. Under preview, its is showing arabic characters next to the
word Sample.
I found that to get the same look of the font window on another PC, I
had to go into under the start menu; MS Office Tools > MS Office XP
Language Settings. You should now see a column of laguages and another
column that holds English as its lone entry. I added arabic to the
right column and restarted. The "normal"PC not has the same font
window as my PC. When I remove arabic from the "normal" PC, everything
reverts back to what it was originally.
I tried adding and removing laguages on my PC and I did run the repair
function. Still comes up with the wierd font window. Any ideas?
