Language changes?

Word 2003 Pro, SP2. All office and Windows XP updates applied. In the middle
of typing a document, Word suddenly changes the language in the spell
checker to Mexican Spanish. You can change it back, but it will still
change. I have removed the check from the "detect language automatically"
box in -Options- Language.

Is there a way to delete language dictionaries?
Is there any way to tell Word not to do this?

Any help greatly appreciated

Try closing and restarting Word. Sometimes this is necessary for new
settings to take effect.

Thanks, Margaret. Hopefully, turning off the auto detect language will fix
this. I have 50 people using MS Word 2003 and this is the only one that will
just suddenly decide to switch to Spanish language. Changing it back works
for a little while, but it requires re-booting the system to get it to
behave, and that only works for about 24 hours.

complicated than that :-(
