I am in the following situation: I have a web page with a PivotTable
to access some remote cubes. Everything is working fine, and several
clients can connect without any problem. In order for the client to
access the page that contains the pivottable, I have installed where
necessary the following components:
- Pivot Table services (PTSFull.exe, from the Analysis Server Service
Pack 3)
- Microsoft Office Web Components v10
I have had no problems installing this in different machines with
different configurations (Windows 2000 w/Office 97, W2k w/Office 2000
and some more). However, when trying to install to a machine which has
the same configuration as some of the machines where it works already,
I have the following problem: after installing MS OWC (Spanish version
on a Spanish language OS), PTSFull.exe refuses to install because it
says that there is a language conflict (I cannot be more specific on
the type of error as this installation has been done on a remote
location by somebody else). I gave instructions to first install
PTSFull and then OWC, but OWC was installed first, and now there is no
way to install PTSFull.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Should I try to uninstall OWC and
then reinstall, proceeding with PTS first? I am not sure whether this
will work or not.
